Recovery Month 2020 Theme: “The ABC’s of Recovery: Building Hope through Awareness, Balance, and Connection.”

We are Celebrating All Month Long!

Each September for the last 7 years, Sanctuary Centers has proudly hosted a Recovery Month event to celebrate and show support for all of those in the Santa Barbara community who are choosing to bravely walk the journey of recovery. Created by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, Recovery Month serves as a reminder that “treatment is effective and that people can and do recover.”

Each year, Sanctuary’s Recovery Month event has grown, bringing together more partners, sponsors, and community members to foster connection, share success stories, and honor our loved ones on the recovery journey. It’s our mission to show our clients that they have our full support—and encourage them to keep moving forward!

In order to ensure everyone stays safe this year, our Recovery Month celebration is going to have to be a little different. Instead of a one-day event, we’re spreading the message of recovery throughout the entire month. Each week, there will be raffle drawings, group projects, and opportunities for connection, while still maintaining proper social distancing etiquette.

Elements of the theme will be highlighted throughout Sanctuary, both in and out of groups. Each week, there will be new ways to participate and explore how to bring hope into recovery, even during difficult times.

If you would like to help out, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

2020 Recovery Month Kickoff

"Make Something Beautiful"

"Sanctuary"

What I need is a place a place of rest,

What I need is a place a place of refuge.

A place where I can feel, where I can feel at peace.

A place of refuge is a place of asylum.

Thank you thank you once again for bringing me to sanctuary.

Thank you again for being my friend and bringing me to sanctuary.
