Premier Valley Medical Group

Sanctuary Centers and Premier Valley Medical Group came together in 2023 to operate the Integrated Health Clinic on Micheltorena Street, which provides the most vulnerable members in our community with co-located medical and behavioral healthcare services. The Integrated Health Clinic is the first of its kind in central California and offers primary medical care, therapy, psychiatry, and enhanced care management.

The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County

It is The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County’s mission to end hunger and transform the health of Santa Barbara County through good nutrition. The Foodbank provides a weekly supply of fresh produce and dry goods used to prepare client meals at our Outpatient Mental Health Center. Additionally, in partnership with our Mental Health Supportive Housing program, the Foodbank provides a weekly groceries program to the no/low income tenants at our Arlington & Hollister Apartments. A member of the Tenants Council picks up the goods and they are made available for any of the tenants who may be in need.

Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness

Santa Barbara County Department of Behavioral Wellness is at the heart of behavioral health assistance in Santa Barbara County. In partnership with Behavioral Wellness, Sanctuary Centers provides outpatient mental health services to those with a co-occurring diagnosis. We offer co-occurring disorders services through our Drug Medi-Cal Certified Outpatient Drug-Free program and Intensive Outpatient Treatment program, which is available to Medi-Cal eligible clients. Our Intensive Outpatient Treatment program offers a higher level of support, which includes programming at a minimum of 3 hours a day, 3 times per week with a maximum of 3 hours a day, 6 days per week.

VetNet

Sanctuary Centers is a participating member of VetNet, a monthly gathering of representatives from more than 40 local agencies and nonprofits that support our veterans, specifically those in the tri-counties. These meetings provide an opportunity to network, share resources, collaborate and coordinate programs and events that celebrate the heroes who have served our country. Because mental health and substance abuse care for veterans is unfortunately limited in Santa Barbara County, Sanctuary Centers is always seeking new ways that we can expand and create new programming centered around the specific needs of our veterans.

Department of Rehabilitation

The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) assists Californians with disabilities in obtaining and retaining employment as they maximize their equality and live independently in their communities. To ensure the best chance for success, they tailor their services to each individual job seeker. Additionally, a vocational rehabilitation team works closely with each job seeker to figure out the best combination of services and resources necessary to prepare for, find, and retain employment.

Because they understand the unique needs of those living with a mental illness, the DOR has chosen to partner with Sanctuary Centers’ Career Development Specialists. We work with each client to connect them with the training, education, and assistance needed to secure competitive employment in the local community.

AmeriCorps

AmeriCorps consists of Americans of all ages and backgrounds, all committing their time and skills to get things done for America. Through an Americorps partnership, Sanctuary Centers employs a Vietnam-era veteran who facilitates our veteran-oriented co-occurring disorders group, The Overcomers: Veterans in Recovery.

Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara

Sanctuary Centers is one of the longest term providers of Shelter Plus Care beds in Santa Barbara County. The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara is an award-winning local public agency that provides safe, quality, affordable housing and supportive services to eligible persons with limited incomes. As part of Sanctuary Centers’ Mental Health Supportive Housing program, we have a longstanding relationship with The Housing Authority of Santa Barbara to provide safe and sober homes in the form of single unit studio apartments for individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use issues.
